Laura completed a Bachelor of Laws with Honours at James Cook University and was admitted as a legal practitioner in 2015. She is admitted to practice in all Queensland Courts as well as the High Court of Australia.

Laura’s principal area of practice is criminal law. Laura has experience in a wide range of criminal matters including driving charges, domestic violence matters, sexual and physical assaults, drug possession and trafficking, fraud, robbery, dangerous driving causing grievous bodily harm and death, manslaughter and murder. She has appeared before courts in trials, sentences, bail and appeal proceedings at various levels of the criminal justice system, including the Supreme Court, District Court, Magistrates Court and Children’s Court of both Queensland and New South Wales.

Having worked previously as a Criminal Prosecutor for both the New South Wales and Queensland Office of the Director of Public Prosecutions as well as Legal Aid Queensland, Laura has extensive experience analyzing evidence and providing advice regarding the strength of the Prosecution case and any available defences including mental health defences.

Laura is committed to achieving the best outcome for her clients and supporting them through the criminal justice process.  She is a strong advocate for social justice and enjoys using her knowledge and skills to access justice for those in need.
